Manhattan Suites Should My Family Stay In Manhattan Or In The Suburbs For A 3-4 Day Visit Over A Weekend This Summer?

Should my family stay in Manhattan or in the suburbs for a 3-4 day visit over a weekend this summer? - manhattan suites

My family of 4 persons, 2 adults and 2 teenagers, planning a trip this summer in New York for a weekend. Hotels are much cheaper in the suburbs, but also the places we want to see, are in Manhattan. Suites for 4-money are also much more in Manhattan. Is it the money to stay in Manhattan, or is likely to remain in the suburbs and travel by train or bus every day to see the sights? This is probably a journey that will never be the City of New York, so we want to do without too much for the housing.

If you look at New York and the things in the city, stay in the city. Commuters from the suburbs is a punishment [You travel during peak hours, probably], and it will cost money, is also a real hobby.

You can try to stay in an apartment. HomeAway.com Check out or other sites that short-term rental.

No way past it, though - is expensive to visit NYC, but it's worth it, especially if you have never been before. A lot to read and research before you go, you can find ways to save a little here and there. Frommer and Fodor Both have websites that give advice on how to save money.

One thing that I really need to do this is free - ride on the Staten Ferry Iceland. You get a great view of the Statue of Liberty and the skyline of New York. To save on food to their "big" meal for lunch [tickets are cheaper] or shall receive, delis, pizzerias, etc. If you can rent an apartment, you also save by having breakfast in the room to make sandwiches warms the remainss, etc.

So before you go, familiarize yourself with the subway / bus. [The transport Nynja has a website with maps, etc.] Buses and subways are very easy and safe and effective. Coach [for As a rule, a route through the city or on / in the city center a few blocks operated / avenues.]

Have a great time!
